於貝爾法斯特女皇大學取得人類學博士; 目前為巴西利亞大學人類學教授;巴西利亞大學國家研究委員會高等教育暨研究包容性研究所所長。曾是萊斯大學,佛羅里達州蓋恩斯維爾大學的客座教授和威斯康星大學麥迪遜分校的音樂教授。一直是巴西大學推動黑人及原住民學生平權行動的主要支持者。 在最近的十年中,他制定了名為“知識面對面”的跨文化項目,旨在囊括巴西非裔和原住民傳統知識(包括音樂和其他藝術形式)的大師,以作為高等教育機構常規課程的講師和研究人員 。

José Jorge de Carvalho - Ph.D. in Anthropology at the Queen’s University of Belfast; Professor of Anthropology at the University of Brasília; Head of the Institute of Inclusion in Higher Education and Research, of the National Research Council, located in the University of Brasília. Was Visiting Professor at Rice University, University of Florida-Gainesville and Tinker Professor of Music at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Has been the main proponent of affirmative actions (especially cuotas) for Black and Indigenous students in Brazilian universities. In the current decade he has formulated the transcultural project entitled Meeting of Knowledges, aimed at including masters of traditional Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous knowledges (including music and other art forms) to act as lecturers of regular courses in institutions of higher education and as researchers.

Dr. Bernd Brabec de Mori

分別在2003年及2012年於維也納大學音樂學系獲得碩士及哲學博士學位。他曾在秘魯低地雨林的原住民生活範圍從事田野工作達五年。 2006年返回歐洲後,他一直在奧地利科學院的影音典藏館(Phonogrammarchiv),馬爾堡菲利普斯大學社會文化人類學系、卡爾法蘭茲大學-格拉茨大學的系統音樂學中心、維也納大學音樂學研究所、格拉茨音樂暨表演藝術大學民族音樂研究所及雲南大學等從事教學和研究工作。出版物包括《真人的歌》(Die Lieder der Richtigen Menschen,2015年),Sudaméricay sus mundos audibles(南美及其聽覺世界,2015年)和Auditives Wissenskulturen(聽覺知識文化,2018),以及有關原住民聲樂、醫學、民族音樂學、聲音感知及聽覺知識的研究文章。

Bernd Brabec de Mori received his M.A. (Mag. phil., 2003) and Ph.D. (Dr. phil., 2012) in musicology from the University of Vienna. He has been working for five years in the field among Indigenous People in the Peruvian lowland rainforests. After returning to Europe in 2006, he has been teaching and researching, among other institutions, at the Phonogrammarchiv of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, at the department for social and cultural anthropology at Philipps-University Marburg, at the centre for systematic musicology of Karl-Franzens-University Graz, at the institute of musicology at the University of Vienna, at the institute of ethnomusicology at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, and as an associate researcher at Yunnan University. He published a couple of books, among them Die Lieder der Richtigen Menschen [Songs of the Real People] (2015), Sudamérica y sus mundos audibles [South America and its auditory worlds] (2015), and Auditive Wissenskulturen [Auditory knowledge cultures] (2018), as well as research articles in the areas of Indigenous vocal music, medical ethnomusicology, sound perception auditory knowledge. Prof. Dr. Aaron Corn

為澳洲音樂教授,澳洲原住民音樂研究中心(CASM)主任,澳洲國家原住民語言和音樂研究中心(NCALMS)主任。

其研究計劃旨在尋找數位化時代可以加強人類文化多樣性的新策略,重點放在澳大利亞原住民表演和大眾媒體的傳達,奠定音樂在原住民法律的中心地位及在各時代人與不同文化中原住民知識參與的持久性。我與整個澳大利亞和亞洲的原住民藝術家都有長期合作的關係,目的在加深對他們文化生存目標的理解與支持。

近來的研究工作主題:增強澳大利亞原住民歌舞傳統的數位化、原住民如何透過流行音樂表達世界觀和價值觀、以澳大利亞原住民媒體的歌舞為例,研究以其為載體在教育環境中傳播知識的應用、學院和澳大利亞教育系統如何重視原住民知識、亞洲和北澳大利亞之間西元前的接觸歷史與原住民文化表達,並將相關性的原住民理解建立到數據方案,以與其過往收集的原住民知識資源一起使用。

教學主題為:音樂與數位化媒體、流行音樂、音樂學和民族音樂學、支持瀕危文化、人類學研究方法、非物質文化遺產、文化遺產收藏和視聽典藏檔案、原住民教育與其政策、傳統知識以及知識產權、原住民知識,信息技術及原住民社區。

正在執行的計劃項目:YolŋuManikay –阿納姆東北部原住民歌曲的數位化、原住民遠程窄播電視和視聽檔案、原住民藝術家與全球遺產及其影響力、澳大利亞原住民國家錄音項目(NRPIPA) 。

Prof. Corn is currently Professor of Music, Director at the Centre for Aboriginal Studies in Music (CASM) and Director at National Centre for Aboriginal Language and Music Studies (NCALMS).

 

My research investigates new strategies for strengthening human cultural diversity in the Digital Age with an emphasis on Australian Indigenous performance and mass media expressions. It examines the centrality of music to Indigenous law, and to the durability of Indigenous knowledge engagements across generations and cultures. I maintain long-term collaborations with Indigenous artists throughout Australia and Asia to broaden understanding and support for their cultural survival aims.

 

My most recent work explores: Digital futures for strengthening Australian Indigenous song and dance traditions, popular music expressions of Indigenous worldviews and values, song and dance as Australian Indigenous media for knowledge transmission in research and educational contexts, how the academy and the Australian education system value Indigenous knowledges, Indigenous cultural expressions of pre-C20 contact histories between Asia and north Australia, and building Indigenous understandings of relatedness into metadata schemes for use with collected Indigenous knowledge resources.

 

I welcome inquiries from Masters and PhD candidates interested in: Music and Digital Media, Popular Music, Musicology and Ethnomusicology, Strengthening Endangered Cultures, Ethnographic Research Methods, Intangible Cultural Heritage, Cultural Heritage Collections and Audiovisual Archives, Indigenous Pedagogies and Education Policy, Traditional Knowledge and Intellectual Property, Indigenous and Embodied Knowledges, Information Technologies and Indigenous Communities.

 

Current projects include: Yolŋu Manikay – Digital Futures for Indigenous Song of Northeast Arnhem Land, Aboriginal Remote Narrowcast TV and the Audiovisual Archive, Mobilising the Global Legacy and Impact of the Aboriginal Artists Agency, the National Recording Project for Indigenous Performance in Australia (NRPIPA).

Prof. Dr. Yuh-Fen Tseng (Prof. Dr.曾毓芬)

國立臺北藝術大學音樂學博士、美國紐約大學鋼琴演奏碩士,現任國立嘉義大學音樂學系暨研究所專任教授。曾毓芬的音樂專業範疇跨越音樂學和鋼琴演奏兩個領域,並長年累積大量表演藝術行政實務經驗,亦有豐富的古典音樂廣播節目之製作主持經歷。1993年自美國返國後即投入音樂演奏與教學領域,亦專精於音樂美學及西洋音樂史等學門。之後,專業領域進一步擴及民族音樂學,研究主題包含台灣原住民音樂、南島音樂與世界音樂,田野調查足跡遍及台灣全島、東南亞諸國與法國。2008年獲國立臺北藝術大學音樂學哲學博士學位,發表博士學位論文《賽德克族與太魯閣族的歌樂系統研究兼論其音樂即興的運作與思惟》。

學術著作甚豐,在各領域皆有代表作品,如古典音樂領域的《古典音樂賞析─從中世紀至巴洛克時期之音樂風格探微》;音樂美學領域的《從音樂美學角度論音樂分析的可能性》、《兼容美學與音樂評論──哲學路徑、批評方法與實踐》;以及民族音樂學領域的《我用生命唱歌─布農族的音樂故事》、《白石山下的傳說-南投賽德克族與花蓮太魯閣族的口傳音樂紀實》、《賽德克族與太魯閣族的歌樂即興系統研究》、《撒奇萊雅族樂舞》、《布農族樂舞》、《布農族人的歌‧樂‧與生命 ── 一部建立於音樂普查基礎之上的布農族音樂行為分析與文化詮釋》等

 

Yuh-Fen Tseng, received her Ph.D. from Taipei National University of the Arts, majoring in Musicology, and the Master of Arts degree from New York University, majoring in piano Performance. She is currently the professor at the music department of National Chiayi University in Taiwan.

 

As a music professional spanning the field of musicology and piano performance, she has been devoted herself to the piano teaching and the related academic subjects such as Music Aesthetics and Western Music History. Meanwhile, as a professional ethnomusicologist, Yuh-Fen Tseng realized the urgency of preserving the music traditions that are quickly vanishing and she therefore devoted herself to the field-investigation of Taiwanese indigenous music. She recorded, transcribed and researched the music from various indigenous groups and tribes in Taiwan in order to keep them transmitted among their own cultural context.

 

Her representative academic works in various professional aspects include: The Appreciation of Western Classical Music—on Music Styles from the Medieval Times to Baroque Era; Exploring the Possibilities of Musical Analysis from Musical Aesthetic View; Eclectic Aesthetics and Music Criticism--Philosophical Path, Critical Method and Practice--I Sing with My Life: A Music Story of Bunun People, Taiwan; A Research on the Vocal Music of the Seediq Tribe & Truku Tribe—Focusing on the Functioning & Thoughts of Their Musical Improvisation; The Legend of White-Stone Mountain: A Video Recording of the Oral Music Tradition of the Seediq Tribe and the Truku Tribe; Songs, Music and Life of Bunun : An Analysis and Interpretation on Bunun Music Acts Based on a General Musical Survey; Eclectic Aesthetics and the Music Criticism.

Dr. Muriel Swijghuisen Reigersberg

Swijghuisen Reigersberg is based at The Open University in the UK. Her research interests are Australian Aboriginal Christian choral singing, decolonizing the academy, research ethics and integrity as well as the relationship between music, health and wellbeing. Her recent publications include a Routledge volume entitled Making Christian Congregational Music Local Worldwide, and a chapter on open access and the responsible sharing of Indigenous research in Whose Book is it Anyway (OpenBook publishers). Muriel has also published in outlets such as Aboriginal History and the Journal of Folklore Research. Dr Swijghuisen Reigersberg is a responsibly open knowledge and research enthusiast, participating in the Horizon 2020 FREYA (EU) and the Curtin Open Knowledge Initiative (Australia) where she represents the needs of arts, humanities and social science researchers. Muriel also holds a prominent university-level position as senior research impact and knowledge exchange manager which allows her to promote and support impactful research benefitting society.

Dr. Wei-Ya Lin (Dr. 林維亞)

 

中提琴家及民族音樂學家,目前於國立維也納音樂暨表演藝術大學(MDW)和約翰內斯·克雷茨(Johannes Kretz)共同主持由奧地利國家科學研究基金所委託為期三年的藝術本位研究計劃 – 《創意性的理解與誤解》(2018-2021年)。同時,她也是MDW和維也納大學的博士後研究員及兼職講師。研究興趣為藝術本位研究、應用民族音樂學、弱勢群體音樂、台灣原住民音樂、聽覺知識、音樂與移民、雙重音樂性。

2006年,她以優異的成績取得MDW的中提琴演奏碩士學位,2007年繼續修習室內樂,也在2005年至2007年間於MDW學習作曲。 2015年,她在同一所大學獲得民族音樂學博士學位,論文的主題是《達悟生活中的音樂:傳統與創新》 。自2010年以來,林氏擔任維也納aNOther Festival的發起人和策展人,自2014起,領導跨學科和跨文化的夏令營iKultLab;自2013年,透過融合藝術表現及學術研究成果,致力達到社會反饋的期待。

 

Wei-Ya Lin, an ethnomusicologist and a violist, is co-leading together with Johannes Kretz the PEEK-project in artistic research creative (mis)understandings (2018-2021) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW). At the same time she is research fellow and adjunct lecturer at MDW and University Vienna.

 

She is initiator and curator of aNOther festival Vienna since 2010; she is leading the interdisciplinary and intercultural summer camp iKultLab since 2014; since 2013 she been involved in planning and developing projects based on scholarly research results, which are implemented by artistic inventions and activist and socio-political approaches.

 

In 2006 she completed her M.A. in viola performance with distinction, in 2007 the postgraduate curriculum in chamber music, and she studied composition from 2005 to 2007 at the MDW. In 2015 she received her PhD in Ethnomusicology from the same university for the thesis Music in the Life of the Tao (Taiwanese indigenous ethnic group): Tradition and Innovation, graduation with distinction.

Research Interests: Artistic Research, Applied Ethnomusicology, Music of Minorities, Music of Indigenous Peoples in Taiwan, Auditory Knowledge, Music and Migration, Bi-Musicality.
